Dress Code

The PUSD dress code is intended to ensure a positive and healthy learning environment for all students. Amador students are reminded to adhere to the following rules:

  1. Clothing, jewelry and personal items shall be free of writing, pictures or any other insignia which are crude, vulgar, profane or sexually suggestive, which bear drug, alcohol, or tobacco company advertising, promotions and likenesses, or which advocate racial, ethnic, or religious prejudice.
  2. Clothing shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times (in a continuous unbroken line from shoulder to thigh). See-through or fish-net fabrics, halter tops, strapless, off-the-shoulder or low-cut (front or side) tops, bare midriffs, and shorts/skirts not covering the buttocks are prohibited.

Please refer to the Discipline Plan in the student planner. First violations receive a warning, parent contact, and require a change in clothing. Subsequent violations result in progressive discipline, beginning with a referral.
